My father and I once went to the market to sell paintings, I also assisted my mother in making face cream, and tried many other things. I've always had an entrepreneurial spirit. Initially, this spirit is honed through hardship and hard work, requiring you to put in your best effort to achieve everything.

My father was an artist, he was an illustrator. He actually started to gain fame at the age of 15. I remember him telling me how proud he felt when he placed his first earned check on the table for his mother to buy food when he was 15. Fortunately, he quickly grew into an emerging artist. His first big order came from the Sing Tao Daily. Starting as an illustrator, he founded Hong Kong's first TV advertising company in the 60s. From this, I learned that persistent effort is crucial; no achievement comes easily, and we must strive for it through our efforts.

The wildfires in Los Angeles went out of control in 2019. I remember being in the backyard when a massive black storm suddenly hit, with black soot and sand swirling in the sky. We heard an urgent doorbell; it was a firefighter who said, "Please pack all important things into your car and evacuate immediately." At that moment, I realized it was fate hinting me to leave this place.

J: Some occurrences in life happen to guide us to open up new perspectives.

Why did I choose to return to the past and try again? I think when I first entered the business, it was just a job. In the following five years, I was forced to be away from the industry. During this period, I gradually realized that it wasn't just work, a career, or a business, but it was my closest friend. My longing for creating fragrances was unparalleled, giving me the motivation to renew myself and become a better version of myself.

In those five years, I profoundly realized that perfume is not just a job or a career, but it is my closest companion. My desire to create perfumes surpasses any other thing in the world. Perfume gave me life and made me the best version of my ideal self.

But I know that these perfumes are my correct choice. When I look at perfume, I don't just see it as a means of livelihood or a goal in life; it has become part of my life.

I think this is a good thing because it accompanies the accumulation of wisdom and talent, almost like our own subconscious journey.

Don't you think our lives are made up of many fragments? We find the things we love and devote ourselves to refining them until the end of time.

Throughout my life, I have embraced change and the unknown. For the things I love, I invest all my energy without reservation.
